Department of Computer Application

Year of Establishment : The department was established in the year 1995 with the fund provided by the UGC under the Vocational Scheme. Dr. M C Borah, the then Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Applications, Jorhat Engineering College guided the college Authority in procuring the Computers and other allied accessories for the department.

The department started with Computer Applications as a Vocational (Optional) subject at the undergraduate level.

Founder Coordinator and Teachers : Dr. P C Borah, Head of Department of Statistics and Mathematics was assigned the duties of the Coordinator and Mr Rubul Saikia was appointed as the Lecturer in the department.
