Department of Commerce

The Commerce Department was started in the year 1974 and founder head was vice principal A. C, Sarmah. He was assisted by M G Roy.  As Mr. A C Sarmah became the principal of the college in 1991 ,Mr. M G Roy was entrusted with the responsibility of HOD, Commerce. Mr. Sanjib Baruah joined as lecturer in the department on 27-12-89 against a newly sanctioned post.  Then after retirement of Mr. M G Roy on 30-10-2000, Mr. S Baruah took the charge of HOD. Mr. S Deka joined as lecturer in 2001. Recently, Mr. Sanjib Baruah got retired in the month of March 2021. At present Mr. S Deka is the HOD of the commerce department.
