Information about IDOL:  The Institute of Distance and Open Learning (IDOL), formerly known as Post Graduate Correspondence School (PGCS) was established in May 1998 with the objective to cover the vast number of students, who due to limited number of seats in post graduate classes or for other reasons can’t enroll themselves in the conventional system of the university. The IDOL completed fifteen years of its successful existence in May 2003. In C.K.B. Commerce College IDOL study center started from the session 2009-2010. Our aim is to provide an opportunity to those who missed the earlier opportunity to pursue their higher education.

Eligibility for admission:

Any graduate from any recognized Indian or foreign Universities /Institutions in any stream can apply for the courses offered by Gauhati University. There is no age or percentage bar.

 About three hundred and sixty students of different courses enrolled in our center.

Admission Procedure:

Eligible candidates may apply in the prescribed forms provided by the IDOL, GU along with copies of the mark sheets /certificates of the qualifying examination with req         uisite course fees. Admission process starts in the month of July. For PGDCA, The admission process starts twice in a year – in July and in January.
